Mission Statement

The University of Evansville chapter of ISEA subscribes to professional education values established to:

  • Provide opportunities to improve the quality of training and experiences of professional educators.

  • Encourage communication and interaction for growth and unity of the association.

  • Educate pre-professionals to the value of ISEA membership.

  • Provide opportunities for participating in cooperative work on the problems of the profession and the community.

  • Strive for higher standards of preparation.

Mission Statement

Kappa Kappa Iota is a national, professional sorority for educators. It is the oldest sorority for educators founded in 1921 in Stillwater Oklahoma. Being a member of Kappa Kappa Iota is to be part of an organization that:

  • Unites top educators from a broad cross section of the country.

  • Encourages professional and personal development through workshops, meetings, and scholarships.

  • Responds to the problem of child abuse and neglect.

  • Provides the opportunity to develop leadership skills.

Mission Statement

The worldwide mission of  The Council for Exceptional Children is to improve educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities.

 

CEC, a non-profit association, accomplishes its mission by advocating for appropriate governmental policies, by setting professional standards, by providing continuing professional development, by advocating for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and by helping professionals achieve the conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.
